The most fantastic holiday – I wish we could have stayed for another week.
My husband and I visited Sandy Lodge for two weeks in May.
We were greeted at the airport by the driver who looks after pick-ups for Porters Court. On our journey to the house, he gave us a guided tour of Barbados, pointing out some great things to do and made lots of off-the-beat recommendations that you don’t always see in the tourist books. When we arrived at the house, we were greeted by the Property Manager. She was incredibly helpful at showing us around the house and then leaving us to get unpacked and explore the house for ourselves.
Sandy Lodge is a fantastic house. It’s a bright blue Bajan style chalet with fantastic, well kept gardens and a pool to the side of the house. The house is decorated to a high standard with white wash floors. The kitchen is one of the most well equipped kitchens we have seen – a definite foodie dream! The blender was by far our most used kitchen item for frozen pina coladas and other rum treats! There is plenty of storage space. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well air conditioned. The house also has a robust security system.
The house is in an excellent location – a two minute walk to the nearest beach and a twenty five minute walk (or 5 minute bus journey on the frequent buses) to Holetown town centre.
The local beach is gorgeous, and our favourite beach on the whole island. It is home to a popular beach shack called Ju Ju’s which serves cold drinks, sandwiches and fresh fried fish – a local delicacy. Next to Ju Ju’s is Lone Star, a restaurant known for attracting celebrities visiting the island. We went there for dinner one evening and had a very good time.
Holetown is Barbados’ most exclusive town. The Limegrove Shopping Centre is full of designer brands with a nice bar area in the centre. The supermarket is well stocked with local fruit and vegetables as well as a wide selection of Waitrose goods.
I highly recommend taking part in one of the yacht turtle diving tours. We had the most fantastic day with meals and drinks provided. The tour ends up in Sandy Lane beach where you are invited into the sea – floating with a glass of wine. What could be better!
Overall we had the most fantastic holiday – I wish we could have stayed for another week. Sandy Lodge is a 5* experience. The house is well maintained with cleaners and gardeners visiting regularly. The verandah is isolated from other houses and perfect for setting up a BBQ and enjoying the warm evenings.

Very Enjoyable Holiday
I stayed in Sandy Lodge for 10 days. The west coast of Barbados has beautiful sandy beaches and warm sea.
The villa is 5 mins from the beach and 1 min from the bus stop to Holetown, which has all the shops you’ll need.
I found the villa to be very clean and furnished to a high standard, comfortable living room and verandah where you can take meals in comfort.
The kitchen is new, light and well equipped.
Both bedrooms have shower rooms and top quality linen. Very comfortable.
Lastly the garden and pool area are well kept, clean and the gardens pretty.
I can thoroughly recommend Sandy Lodge for a jolly good holiday.
The owner and property manager were helpful throughout.

A Lovely Holiday Villa
We have just returned from a very relaxing two weeks spent at Sandy Lodge. The property has recently been refurbished in a tasteful navy and white colour scheme. The white painted floors and vaulted ceilings give an airy feel. The bedrooms and en suites are well appointed and the beds very comfortable.
My family did a mixture of self catering and eating out. The kitchen is very well equipped and a very efficient BBQ. A supermarket and good butchers are about a mile away in Holetown. There are plenty of places to eat out – there is a list available in the villa. Most are within a walk or short bus journey.
We hired a car, although not necessary. There is a gated pathway from Porters Court to the road where you can catch buses to Holetown and Speightstown. We really enjoyed the yellow reggae buses!
The local beach – 4 mins away – is very romantic. We enjoyed an early morning swim and breakfast at Lone Star. We loved the beach bars – alternating rum punch and Banks beer!
We had a fantastic holiday and are now planning for 2017!

Modern and close to beaches/restaurants
The house itself is well decorated and comfortable with all the amenities you could want in a holiday home. Air conditioning throughout, the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, bathroom clean and newly refurbished and the open living area is a lovely place to escape the midday heat and read a book and relax. The kitchen comes with all the utilities one could want including a BBQ on the verandah. The verandah surrounds the house meaning dining in Sandy Lodge is very pleasant and a lovely, comfortable place to spend the evening. The pool area is first rate; quiet and secluded with comfortable loungers and umbrellas. The maid and gardeners visit regularly.
Sandy Lodge is walking distance from some fantastic bars and restaurants Jujus and Lone Star for great sundowners and meals. The Golden Anchor is great for a cool Banks Beer and the pub quiz! Sandy Lodge is a perfect base from which to explore the island.
We had a brilliant holiday!

Beautiful
‘Your villa is beautiful and it cannot be faulted. It is a real ‘home from home’ and we instantly felt at ease and at home.’
‘We had a great week staying in your lovely villa. The villa is beautifully kitted out and really comfortable’
‘We enjoyed our visit to Barbados. The location of your villa was great and the amenities much appreciated. We made extensive use of the beach chairs, towels and cooler.

Fabulous
‘ This was my second holiday staying in your lovely villa.
Sandy Lodge is very well located – 5 mins from a wonderful beach. The bus stop is close by and we didn’t need a car.
The villa was very comfortably and tastefully furnished and we had all we needed and more. It is just as described in the website. We liked the poolside position and the veranda – great with the BBQ. The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped throughout and obviously much thought has gone into guest’s needs.
The pool and other villas were quiet whilst we were staying. The gardens all around are very well maintained. Everywhere is clean and tidy.
The Property Manager is always available and really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would recommend and plan to return.
Thank you for another great holiday!

Lovely villa in a great location
The villa was just as described and benefited from a recent makeover by the new owners. The property is very well equipped and lacked nothing.
The owners were v helpful as was the property manager. The owner’s handbook had several excellent recommendations for restaurants and useful local info. You must try Lone Star 5 mins walk away for a beautiful meal overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
The beach is picture perfect and just a short stroll away – nothing better than a swim in warm sea followed by a rum punch at the local beach bar.
There is a bus service 2 mins from the villa – you have to try the yellow reggae buses – especially if you like loud music – an experience not to be missed.
The people were really friendly and everybody was really helpful.
We would strongly recommend the villa for a relaxing holiday.

Fabulous holiday, beautiful villa in idyllic location
My family have just returned from a wonderful stay in this fabulous villa and cannot praise it highly enough.
This was our first visit to Barbados and the owners could not have been more helpful prior to our visit. They were happy to provide general advice and arrange a airport transfer – important for us as being a family of 5 we cannot get a regular taxi!!
The villa is ideally situated in the small, secure development of Porters Court just 5 minutes from Alleynes Bay – one of the most popular beaches in Barbados. There are a couple of lovely beach bars and restaurants within an easy 5 minute walk and Holetown is just a short bus ride away with a wider selection of amenities.
The Villa itself is amazing and can only be described as a real home from home. The owners take a real pride in the accommodation which is beautifully presented and equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy your holiday. We especially loved the shared pool (which we more or less had to ourselves) and the beautiful verandah with barbecue for relaxing evenings.
We are so glad we found this lovely villa in beautiful Barbados and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great place, location and beach
Sandy Lodge is fantastic. It’s a Barbadian style chalet with well kept gardens and a pool, decorated to a high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bedrooms are very comfortable and both with lovely ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers. There is a great veranda on two sides with outdoor seating for eating and barbecuing etc.
We had a fantastic 5* holiday experience. There is everything you need in the bungalow, multi channel TV, wifi, aircon in all rooms, lovely pool, kitchen with absolutely everything you need, laundry room etc.

Bajan Paradise
The most beautiful holiday I have ever been on. The beaches in Barbados are like no other, a paradise picture postcard, I’m generally very scared about going into the sea, but it is so clear in Barbados that I felt so at ease. It wasn’t just a holiday, it was an experience. Everyday we did was something new, from fishing and barbecuing our catch, to having cocktails at The Lone Star (a must!)
The villa itself was so gorgeous and had plenty of space, both rooms were double and en suite which was fantastic for when you need that bit of privacy. The owner obviously has great taste as the place was decorated so well. It had literally EVERYTHING we needed with all pots, pans and utensils… only thing missing was a garlic crusher which I think was for the best anyway 😉
We also did some great activities while away; we went on the Cool Runnings cruise which I would highly recommend, and food was brilliant too. We also did a rum tour at Mount Gay; disclaimer DO NOT DO ON A HANGOVER! All in all: amazing villa and holiday and I will definitely be back!

Perfect from start to finish
We (two couples) have just returned from a wonderful 7 night trip to Barbados, staying at the beautiful Sandy Lodge. It’s difficult to not write War and Peace on how much we loved the villa, I will try and keep it short.
Number 4 Sandy Lodge is the pick of the 8 villas on the private gated estate. The villa is one of three which sits beside the private pool, making a quick dip or a long day sunbathing really easy. Although the pool is a shared one, over the course of the week we had it to ourselves every day. We spent quite a while trying to work out which of the two rooms is the master bedroom, both are a great size and have beautiful walk in showers.
The location of the villa on the island is also brilliant as it is so close to the breathtaking beach (a 3 minute walk) and most of the top restaurants on the island. We hired a car to get around the island and we were very pleased to see the guide that the owners had put together to help us explore.
When you stay in a villa there are generally a number of things that it doesn’t come with which can get annoying the longer you stay. Sandy Lodge is better equipped than my house. We could have stayed for 3 months and I don’t think we would have needed to take anything more than clothes to wear. One of our favourite things about the villa is the outdoor dining area and BBQ. We spent a few nights just staying in and playing cards, drinking and eating on the veranda. We will 100% return, hopefully very soon!

Fabulous holiday villa close to the beach
We stayed for four wonderful weeks in this villa. It is an exceptional property in an excellent location just a short stroll to an amazing beach with sunbeds, bars/cafes and just down the road from Lonestar. The bus stops close by in either direction to take you off to Holetown and Speightstown. The Villa is bright, well furnished and maintained to a very high standard, very comfortable and extremely well equipped with air conditioning throughout. It shares a beautiful glistening pool with 7 other properties that is rarely busy. The outside veranda is lovely and perfect for relaxing and dining where we enjoyed many evenings sipping cocktails and barbequing our dinner! The owners were very helpful, easy to contact and provided great info during the booking process to enhance our holiday. Agnes, the property manager, is on hand for your arrival and anytime during your stay if you need her. We have stayed in many different properties in Barbados over the years and this has to be our favourite. Fabulous!! Overall a fantastic place to stay and we have already rebooked for our next visit.

Fabulous Villa in a Wonderful Location!
We stayed for just over two weeks in this wonderful villa.
The villa was spotlessly clean, tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing more! The villa has a great verandah – where we spent most of our time – opposite the pool, with a gas BBQ and seating. Perfect for relaxing as well as dining.
The villa is 4 mins walk from a lovely beach and 1 min from the bus stop. The buses are a great way to explore the island. Beach, bars, restaurants and shops are all easily accessible.
The owners were very helpful and very easy to communicate with.
We wholeheartedly recommend this villa it’s an absolutely perfect choice!

Perfect luxury retreat
Sandy Lodge Porters Court is just Perfect – first of all it is luxury – sometimes you see this word used about accommodation and it isn’t but at Sandy Lodge Porters Court it is Luxury. Everything has been considered to make guests feel special, welcome and comfortable – classy interior design, comfortable beds, lovely bed linen and fat fluffy towels!
The property is very pretty and has a wonderful veranda set up for for lazy breakfasts or sipping sundowners in the warm, soft Bajan breeze – I watched a humming bird in the tropical flowers while I had my local Rum and Coke! The pool is only steps away from the Villa which is great to cool down and sunbathe.
The location is fantastic – the picture perfect pretty villa is surrounded by tropical plants and flowers and is in a small, quiet, gated community. The treat is that after just 4 minutes – you are sinking your toes into the warm, powder white sand with the waves lapping at your feet. This closest beach has a number of restaurants and bars as well as lots of fun water sports which are all good.
We hired a car so that we could travel around the Island and the suggestions and notes in the Welcome Guide where all perfect suggestions from the owners who know the Island well – On a practical note the property has parking, a Gas BBQ, a TV with lots of channels and a fully equipped kitchen as well as a really useful laundry room so it really was like having our own luxury home in the Sun We will be back as soon as we can and we will stay longer next time. Thank you for creating such a special place.
