Flights with Stops
You can fly to Barbados via US destinations e.g. Miami, or other Caribbean islands such as St Lucia but there is minimal if any financial saving.
Flying from Barbados
Although it is an idyllic island Barbados is small and long-stay visitors sometimes feel the need to break out!
There are regular flights to several USA airports i.e. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boston and New York. Prices are reasonable with budget airlines such as jetBlue. Useful for shopping trips for clothes etc which are much cheaper than in Barbados.
Many of the Caribbean islands have flights to and from Barbados with Caribbean Airlines. Many people make the mistake of assuming all the Caribbean islands are pretty much the same as each other. Visit St. Lucia or Trinidad and that myth is soon dispelled.
Save money on flights
Register with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and get a Virgin Atlantic credit card to collect the miles – you can easily cut the flight costs in half by doing this as well as being able to select seats and check in ahead of the crowd. British Airways offer a similar scheme.
